This role requires flexible hours and ability to work weekends.
The Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in the success of the day-to-day operations for TransWest pertaining to the personnel, fleet, operational and programmatic processes.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will lead local Team Members focusing on safety and quality above all else, but will have focus on the following areas; ridership tracking, fleet vehicle efficiency, fleet vehicle utilization, supporting on-demand services and late notice change orders.
The Assistant General Manager will also support the parking initiatives of our client and support the operational outputs of the parking program.
Also the Assistant General Manager will ensure TransWest is meeting contractual agreements by tracking and reporting on operational metrics that are tied to contract performance through service level agreements.
The Assistant General Manager will partner with the General Manager on coaching and mentoring all local Team Members to ensure TransWest is providing safe quality service that exceeds the expectations of our client.
In addition to the above job duties the Assistant General Manager will partner with the General Manager to coordinate, facilitate and reports on; operational performance, safety performance and company policy adherence while planning, leading and executing process improvement initiatives.
The Operations Manager will need to work in partnership with multiple departments including Compliance & Training, Safety, Fleet, Dispatch, Program Management, Client Success, Business Development, People and Culture and Accounting to ensure accuracy in all operational verticals.

Essential Functions:
Coordinate, plan, and execute operational plans for current and new service lines, including schedules, routes, vehicle and driver assignment, training, back-end tool set up (online software, WIFI, GPS tracking etc.

) and all other aspects relating to operational success.
Ensure all shifts are filled daily without exception.
Monitor shuttle operation's data for efficiency; identify issues of poor operational performance.
Work with staff, Driver Trainer, Driver Leads and the Operations Director to identify areas of improvement and develop plans to improve efficiencies and maintain preferred results.
Prepare standard reports weekly, monthly or as requested and develop tracking systems, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and other operational data as necessary.
Enter data from manual operations reports, invoices or other sources into existing databases or other tracking tools.
Based on the KPI's, manage the Driver Score Cards incentive program and assist with the accurate measurement of driver success.
Partner with Driver Leads and driver Trainer to ensure the correct follow up of driver successes and opportunities in relation to the KPIs and score cards.
Develop and train Driver Leads and Driver Trainer through coaching, counseling and field time to better empower and develop front line leaders.
Update and maintain online tools to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Develop content for monthly staff safety meeting.
Work with Operations Team, Training Managers and Compliance to create meeting agendas, training concepts and review of operational division performance.
Keep monthly records of meeting notes and attendance.
Work with training and driver leads to train drivers on new and existing routes.

Must be 21 years of age to meet minimum CDL requirements.
Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent work experience.

Years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs.
This position is evening, nights and weekends.
Must be willing to work in outside environments, which may include inclement weather.
